CMLL 85 years commemorative mask
inspired by the work of Rufino Tamayo
On the occasion of the 85 years of the World Wrestling Council, the Normal Null agency commissioned us to design a special mask to produce as a limited edition.
The brief included an iconic piece by Rufino Tamayo and a lot of Mexicanness, so we immediately thought of Alejandro Magallanes. Nobody was going to be able to unite these strong concepts in a single element, at the same time, very characteristic of Mexican culture.
The result was a piece worthy of collection that, due to logistics issues, was never produced.
